By commemorating and celebrating World Philosophy Day every year, on the third Thursday of November, which for 2025 coincides with November 20, UNESCO highlights the enduring value of philosophy for the development of human thought, for every culture and for every individual. Philosophy is an everyday practice that can not only transform society, but also stimulate dialogue between cultures. By awakening people to the exercise of thought and the reasoned confrontation of opinions, philosophy helps build an increasingly tolerant and understanding society. Thus, it makes it possible to understand and respond to major contemporary challenges, creating and supporting the intellectual conditions for change. The development of philosophical thought has shown that there can be no dignified civilization without philosophy and the servant philosopher. It is important to make a clear distinction between the various problems that human freedom poses, so as not to confuse it with everything. Philosophical questions about freedom can be divided into three problems: of free will, of moral freedom, and of political freedom. Following the three approaches, the problem of teaching philosophy is added. Is the teaching of philosophy at the right level in our educational system? As well as the contemporary problem of the connection between technology and freedom, from which the question naturally arises whether the rapid developments in the field of technology and Artificial Intelligence, do they violate freedom?
